Nanda Devi East Base Camp Trek Tour

After breakfast, we drive 13 km / 30 min by jeep to Dhapa Bend, our trekking point. We begin trekking to Pamdeo. We cross the river by wooden bridge and then trek ascends slowly towards Lilam village or pamdev. En route we get little bit view of Raj Ramba and Hanshling peak (5350 m). overnight stay in tents or local huts.Total trekking hours will be 3 hrs.

Today trek is the most difficult trek and long day , first 3 hrs. is steep climbing then slighly down and flat to bogudiyar. Enroute we pass through Bhabali Dhar from where we have views of Raj Ramba and upper peaks of Pancha Chuli. In Bagudiar we cross the iron bridge till campsite. Rivulet that we come across is coming from the Ponting Glacier. Total 7 – 8 hr trek. Bagudiyar is a small Check Post of Indo Tibetan Border Police Force at the end of Poting glacier. Overnight in Tents or local huts.

Continue trekking from Bagudiyar, the trail ascending up to Nahardevi for about one hour. Walking flat for half an hour the trek again ascends till Mapa for next 30 min. Crossing over steps made on the rock we enter to an open Valley with wide view of Gori River and we can see till Railkot alongside the river. Rilkot (3000 m) is a small village used as transit camp by sheperds while migrating from summer to winter season. It has very big camp site with adequate water and space. Total trek 6 to 7 hr. Overnight in Tents.

From Rilkot we continue our trek to Ghanghar Village,. Throughout the day we can get intermittent views of Himalayan peaks and just after reaching campsite we can have a glimpse of Nanda Devi East. Camp on an alpine meadow laden with rhododendron bushes blooming during the season with pink and white flowers. From the camp we have a commanding view of Nanda Devi East right in front of us. Total 5 to 6 hr trek. Overnight in Tents.

Today we assending to Nanda Devi Base Camp, which is nearly 7 km away from ghanghar and it takes 4 hrs, to reach our camp site, once we start the trek view just keeps getting better with Nanda devi looming closer with each step. The rolling High altitude rhododendron with the pink and white flowers and the fresh green birch forests make the trek an ultimate experience. We reach an open alpine meadow with varied flora and at the head of the Pachu Glacier emanating from the northern face of Nanda Devi. Overnight in the tents.

It will be Downhill trekking day of just 5 hrs, ascending to Martoli hemlet from lawn gad we are in high mountain country now and the tree line disappears giving access to vast stretches of Alpine pastures. In afternoon we towards lawn for magnificent view of surrounding mountain like Nanda lapak, Bankatia and matoli peak itself . Overnight in Tents.

The landscape which was left unseen while trekking up comes in front now, Descending down brings the view of ralam pass and abundant village of kilanch and laspa . We will camp at Chirkani near Nahardevi a small beautiful campsite , Total 6 to 7 hr trek. Overnight in Tents.

First we descend down till radgari bridge than climb up to the Main singh top again down till pamdeo campsite which provide bird eye view of gori ganga river and munsyari.Total 6 to 7 hr trek. Overnight in Tents.

We start early for dhapa bend where our jeep is waiting for us. Trekking 3 hrs we drive halfhour to Munsyari, Overnight in Rest House.
