Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Darjeeling

  Once you arrive at the Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri railway station in Darjeeling, you will love the warm welcome that the representative of Swan Tours greets you with. They will then accompany you on a guided drive to the hotel amidst the spellbound views of the Mount Everest, World Heritage Train, tea plantations and also the abundant greenery. Check-in the hotel and rest for some time followed by your evening spent in exploring some shopping items at the Mall or shopping centre. Stay overnight after having dinner!

• Day 2 : Local sightseeing in Darjeeling

  Wake up to the morning breakfast and start with your local sightseeing in Darjeeling. Start with the magnolia to Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit /Token from the respective authority).to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak, Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. Have lunch and continue with the second half sightseeing tour which includes places like, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Tea Estate, Natural History Museum, and Peace Pagoda. Call off the day by getting back to the hotel and stay overnight after having dinner!

• Day 3 : Darjeeling to Kalimpong

  After enjoying the morning breakfast, you will set out on a guided transfer to Kalimpong which is approx. 65 km away on a road drive that will take 3 hours at the maximum from the former. Kalimpong is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an elevation of 1243 m. You will come across the scenic road to Forest Museum, Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Mangal Dham, Pine View Nurseries that you can explore after or before check-in to the pre-booked hotel. Stay overnight after carrying out some shopping for souvenirs in the local markets.

• Day 4 : Kalimpong to Pelling

  In the wake of breakfast, get ready to travel to a 140 km distance on a drive to reach the next destination on the charts that is Pelling. This place is situated at a height of 2072 m from where you get the breath-taking views of the Himalayas that is covered with a blanket of snow. Moreover, Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu are some of the peaks that you will witness followed by wide varieties of flora species namely, Rhododendron, Orchids and much more to discover. Other than this, you can also explore some interesting spots located here that count in Yuksom, Ravangla, Rinchenpong, and Namchi. Move to the prescribed hotel for check-in formalities and stay overnight after having a hearty dinner!

• Day 5 : Local sightseeing in Pelling

  After having breakfast, start with the local sightseeing in Pelling that will get you into awe-inspiring experiences for the natural views are spellbinding. Start with Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake, Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga water Falls, Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse ruins, and the heights of Kanchendzonga ranges. After cherishing the day, bring it to a conclusion by your return to the hotel for an overnight stay!

• Day 6 : Pelling to Gangtok

  After finishing off your breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel in Pelling to depart for Gangtok that is next in a row. Travel for 130 km on a drive to reach out for Sikkim that is known to be one of the best hill stations of the country that is the house to the monastery, Orchids, High altitude Lake and butterflies. Check-in and freshen up for your further visit to the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, etc. Shop for souvenirs at the Lal market or MG Road followed by an overnight stay in the hotel!

• Day 7 : Local sightseeing in Gangtok

  Start the day with morning breakfast post which you will proceed to the exploration of some sightseeing spots in Gangtok. Start with an excursion to the Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers and 2 hours drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, that is the home to the red panda and the blood pheasant with Rhododendron and other alpine trees at a height of 3753 meters. After this, pay a visit to the Nathu La (Permit Charges for Nathula Pass extra @ Rs.7000 (Approx) per vehicle for max 6 guests and confirmation of permit is subject to approval from government authorities)and the Tshangu Lake followed by an overnight stay in the hotel on your return.

• Day 8 : Departure from Gangtok
