Nubra means the north zone of Ladakh. It is situated to the north of leh 200km in distance and at the elevation of 1300fts from the sea level. It is close to the border of Pakistan and China. The mighty (Shayok River) and famous (Saichen River) flow there. Nubra is also famous for sand dune and camel riding (Double hump camel) Nubra festival every year held in October for two days.

Leh to Nubra 5 to 6 hrs driving by taxi 200km.
Crossing over the world highest motor-able road Kardong-la 18580fts. From the top of pass enjoy the panoramic views of the Karakorum Range, K-2 is visible if the weather is clear, most of the peaks are around 6000meters to 8000meters. Driving down hill to Nubra will pass lots domestic Yak and a beautiful Kardung village.

Diskit monastery which is situated on the rock cliff to the left side of Nubra River and then after drive to Hundar a small temple. Back for hot lunch and late afternoon drive to Sand dune view and camel riding.
