The Panchchuli Base Camp Trip is the shortest, safest, and most straightforward trek in Kumaon. Before arriving at the Panchchuli Glacier, the 35–40 km hike travels past the settlements of Urthing, Bongling, Syela, Nangling, Baling, and Dugtu-Dantu in the Darma Valley. At the settlement of Dugtu-Dantu on the final circuit, one is treated to the magnificent Panchchuli sight, which gets its name from its five peaks.
