Welcome to Sri Lanka! Arrive in Colombo and get transferred to Kandy. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. It is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village. Overnight in Kandy.

After breakfast, proceed on a city tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, The Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Next, proceed to Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha’s Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orison princess’ hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka’s most prized possession. Overnight in Kandy.

After breakfast, proceed to Nuwara Eliya and en route visit a tea plantation. Arrive at Nuwara Eliya, the ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka. It is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and tea plantations. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave for Bentota. En route, take a sightseeing tour of Galle. It was a major port until about 100 years. It still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour. Stroll around the Light House and harbour or visit the old town where you can purchase some the finest shell-craft souvenirs in the world. Arrive in Bentota, a populated beach located in the Galle district. Overnight in Bentota.

After breakfast, transfer to Colombo and proceed for the city tour of Colombo including shopping. Visit Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, and the Bazaar area. See a Hindu temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also, visit the BMICH to see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square. Overnight in Colombo.
