Amarnath Yatra - One of the holy trinity, Shiva is a living god. The most sacred and most ancient book of India, the Rig Veda evokes his presence in its hymns, Vedic Myths, rituals and even testify to his existance from the dawn of time. Legend has it that Shiva recounted to Parvati the secret of creation in a cave in Amarnath. Unknown to them, a pair of doves eavesdropped on this conversation and having learnt the secret, are reborn again and again, and have made the cave their eternal abode. The annual yatra to Holy Amarnath Cave, situated at 14000 ft. above sea level, is organised by the Jammu & Kashmir State Government during the month of July and August. The intending pilgrims are allowed to perform darshan from Ashard Purnimashi to Shravan Purnimashi which course spreads over a month or so.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Srinagar

  Arrival Srinagar Airport & transfer to Sonamarg. Check in hotel Glacier / Snow land. Dinner & Overnight in Hotel.

  • Meals & Drinks : Dinner

• Day 2 : Amarnathji Cave

  Early morning 0600hrs proceed to Baltal Helipad to board the helicopter for Shri Amarnathji Cave. Return after performing Darshans & transfer back to Sonamarg. After Breakfast rest of Day at leisure. Dinner & Overnight in Sonamarg.

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast Lunch Dinner

• Day 3 : Srinagar

  Breakfast at hotel & transfer to Srinagar. Check in Super Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon visit Mughal Gardens. Evening free at leisure. Evening you can go for Shikara ride in Nagin & Dal Lakes visit - Nehru Garden - Char Chinar - Floating Gardens on your own. Return for Dinner & Overnight stay in Houseboat.

• Day 4 : Gulmarg

  After breakfast visit Shri Shankracharya Temple & later transfer to GULMARG (56kms & 8900ft. altitude) - enroute visit Tangmarg - Khilanmarg - You can also go to pay obeisance at shrine of 'BABA RISHI' the great saint. - Arrival Gulmarg & check in Hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy Skiing / Horse Riding / Gondola ride to Apharwat (Alpathar) (charges for these to be paid directly by clients). Dinner & overnight in Hotel in Gulmarg.

  Check out after Breakfast & transfer to Phalgam (120km). Enroute visit ancient Pandva temples at Awantipura - Shiva temple at Mattan - Eshumukam Cave. & on arrival in Phalgam check in Hotel HEEVAN. Day at leisure to enjoy Pony ride or Fishing Trout in Lidder river. Dinner & Overnight in Hotel in Phalgam. (Fishing Permits to be taken in Srinagar and charges to be borne by clients).

• Day 7 : Srinagar
