Tangmarg

Tangmarg is a beautiful town in the Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. It is located in the district of Baramulla and is beckoned by the misty Himalayan peaks cover in snow. In the local language, Tangmarg means the place with many pear trees. During the Mughal Era in India, Tangmarg was the gateway to the hill-town of Gulmarg. Tourists often stop at Tangmarg to grab a bite of the delicious snacks and tea that are sold on the dhabas.

Tangmarg can be visited throughout the year. There is no special season to plan a journey to this town because, throughout the year, the weather remains pleasantly cool here. However, visiting here during snowfall can be challenging as it snows heavily during the peak season.

Do not forget to taste the delicious and fresh pears that are grown in Tangmarg. You will come across numerous trees bearing the pears and having a bite of those fresh fruits is a refreshing experience in itself.
