Sundarban Hilsa Festival is a 3 day 2 night gastronomic and wildlife celebration featuring authentic Hilsa delicacies, traditional folk performances and mangrove river cruises. Guests board a river cruise from Sonakhali Ghat via the scenic Hogol River route, explore heritage sites such as Gosaba Market, Sir Daniel Hamiltons Bungalow and Beacon Bungalow Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow, enjoy evening Tribal Jhumur Dance and Baul Bhatiali music, and experience jungle safaris with visits to watch towers including Sajnekhali Sudhanyakhali and Dobanki with a 493m canopy walk. The itinerary includes narrow canal cruises visiting Bonbibi Bharani Deul Bharani Pirkhali and Gajikhali, the Panchamukhani estuary junction of five rivers, a pilgrimage visit to Lokenath Temple and a grand Hilsa Biryani farewell feast.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Sonakhali To Gosaba River Cruise And Heritage Walk

Board a river cruise from Sonakhali Ghat via the scenic Hogol River route and proceed to Gosaba and nearby heritage sites. Visit Gosaba Market to immerse in local culture, explore historic Sir Daniel Hamiltons Bungalow and the Beacon Bungalow Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow. In the evening enjoy a cultural program featuring Tribal Jhumur Dance and Baul songs. Meals during the day include a welcome breakfast spread, a grand lunch featuring multiple Hilsa preparations, afternoon fresh seasonal fruits, evening snacks and a royal dinner.

Day 2 Jungle Safari And Watch Towers In Sundarbans

Experience jungle safaris and visit multiple watch towers and wildlife points in the Sundarbans. Highlights include the Mangrove Interpretation Centre and Wildlife Complex at Sajnekhali, wildlife spotting at Sudhanyakhali with chances to see Royal Bengal Tigers Axis Deer and Crocodiles, and the thrilling 493m canopy walk at Dobanki. Cruise through narrow canals including Bonbibi Bharani Deul Bharani Pirkhali and Gajikhali and visit the Panchamukhani estuary junction of five rivers. Meals include breakfast bed tea mid morning snacks a grand lunch featuring regional specialties and evening and night refreshments.

Day 3 Morning River Cruise Lokenath Temple Pilgrimage And Farewell

Take a morning river cruise to enjoy lush jungle side scenery followed by a pilgrimage visit to Lokenath Temple for blessings. Conclude the festival with a grand Hilsa Biryani farewell feast and departure. The day features a final breakfast service and a special farewell lunch before guests head back.
