This 2 days Tanzania safari through Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater is a short adventure offering an African wildlife and photo safari in two of Tanzanias most spectacular national parks. The highlight is the large elephant herds and giant baobab trees in Tarangire with around 6000 elephants recorded, along with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, impalas, rare species such as Gerenuk and Great Kudu, Oryx, and diverse birdlife of over 400 species. Ngorongoro Crater offers an exceptional chance to view predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals and many birds of prey. The itinerary can start anywhere but is based from Arusha and includes airport pick up and drop off, accommodation, guided game drives, meals, mineral water, overnight stays in safari lodges or tented camps, all national park fees and all government taxes and levies including 18% VAT. The itinerary may be rerouted or accommodations changed in case of non availability; upgrades to luxury accommodation and customizations are available.
Arrival day in Tanzania with arrival into Arusha or alternative start location. Guests are met on arrival and transferred to accommodation in Arusha for check in and overnight. This day allows time to rest and prepare for the safari departure the next day and may include airport pick up and briefing by the professional English speaking guide.
Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park for full day wildlife viewing. Tarangire is famous for large elephant herds and giant baobab trees and supports species such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, eland, buffalo, warthogs, baboons, impalas and rarer species like Gerenuk and Great Kudu and Oryx. More than 400 species of birds have been recorded here. Expect multiple game drives through the park with opportunities for photography and wildlife spotting, followed by an overnight stay in a safari lodge or tented camp under included arrangements.
Depart Tarangire and proceed to Ngorongoro Crater for a crater tour and intensive game viewing in a unique caldera environment. The Ngorongoro Crater is renowned for its density of wildlife including predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals together with numerous herbivores and birds of prey. After crater exploration and wildlife viewing, guests return to Arusha with transfer to accommodation or airport drop off as required, concluding the 2 day safari.
