Package Overview

The Golden Chariot is a luxury tourist train that connects the important tourist spots in the Indian states of Karnataka and Goa. It is named after the Stone.Chariot in the Vitthala Temple at Hampi.The 19 coaches on the train are coloured purple and gold, and sport the logo of a mythological animal with the head of an elephant and a body of a lion.The Golden Chariot operates weekly and had its maiden commercial run on March 10, 2008.

The Golden Chariot is a royal experience, a journey.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Bangalore (Monday)

  12:30pm : Check-in at the Leela Palace followed by lunch at jamawar or citrus.
  
  03:00pm : Depart for Bangalore Sightseeing Tippu’s Palace, Bull Temple, Lalbagh and shopping.
  
  08:00pm : Arrival at Yeshwantpur Railway Station, Platform No. 6. Traditional In¬dian welcome at Railway Station and escorting to respective cabins. Dinner onboard The Golden Chariot.
  
  09:00pm : Depart for Mysore.
  
  11:30pm : Arrive at Mysore - Overnight in The Golden Chariot at Mysore Railway Station.

• Day 2 : Mysore/ Kabini/ Bandipur (Tuesday)

  10:00am : Depart for Kabini / Bandipur after breakfast
  
  01:00pm : Reach Jungle Lodge. Lunch at the Jungle Lodge
  
  Post Lunch : Jungle / Boat Safari. Return in the evening for wildlife film. Dinner and stay overnight at Jungle Lodge.

• Day 3 : Mysore (Wednesday)

  06:30am : Depart for boat ride in the kabini river
  
  08:15am : Breakfast at kabini jungle lodge and depart for mysore

  03:00pm : Depart for sightseeing: Royal enclosure, Hazara Rarna Temple. Illuminated Vittala Temple.

  11:00am : Visit the famous churches of old Goa
  
  12:15am : Visit an old Portuguese house: Sola Souto Maiorfortea/ coffee and cookies; shopping at the emporium

  03:00pm : An Ayurvedic massage, a visit to the casino, a dip in the pool / beach, etc. (Ayurvedic massage and casino chargesextra as applicable)
