Meghamalai , popularly called the Highwavy Mountains, is a mountain range situated in the Western Ghats in Theni district, Tamil Nadu near to Kumily, Kerala. It is dotted with cardamom plantations and tea estates. The place is situated at an elevation of 1,500 m above sea level and it is rich in flora and fauna. This area, now mostly planted with tea, includes Cloudlands, Highwavys, Venniar and Manalar estates, the access to which is now largely restricted. It still includes large untouched remnants of evergreen forest.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Theni Local Sightseeing

Pickup from Theni Bus stand. Surli falls Cumbam valley grapes garden Travel towards Megamalai Highwavys Dam, Megamalai View Point, Chinna Suruli veiw, Manalar Dam. Overnight stay.

Activities : Camping
Day 2 Megamalai Sightseeing

Megamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Manalar Waterfall, Venniyar Tea Estate, Highwavys Lake, Overnight stay.

Activities : Cycling
Day 3 Theni Local Sightseeing

After fresh up and Breakfast @ hotel. Check out from the Hotel. Then proceed to visit Suruli falls. Visiting 1008 Sivalinga temple and Grape Garden. Then proceed towards Veerapandi River and Veerapandi Gowmariamman Temple. Finally drop @ Theni Bus stand.
