Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival to Urgench from Moscow, transfer to Khiva, overnight

    On this day you fly from Moscow using flight HY-615 (operated on Sundays), departure 14:40, arrival at 20:10. On arrival, transfer to Khiva (30km) for accommodation at a hotel.

  • Day 2 : Full day excursions in Khiva

    This day is entirely devoted to sightseeing of the city of Khiva, the ancient capital of Khorezm. Overnight in Khiva.

  • Day 3 : Visiting ancient fortresses of Khorezm - Ayaz-Kala or Tupraq-Kala

    On this day you travel outside of Khiva, across the great ancient river Oxus - now the river of AmuDarya, to visit the ancient Khorezm fortress Ayaz-Kala located in the steppe. This is a majestic structure made of clay, which the ancient Khorezmians built to protect the borders of their state from attacks of nomads.

  • Day 4 : Moving to Bukhara through the Kyzylkum desert

    The day is dedicated to travel from Khiva to Bukhara (about 470 km) through the Kyzylkum Desert along the banks of the AmuDarya river. We will make stops in the desert to see the most picturesque areas, as well as have lunch based on lunch-boxes.

  • Day 5 : Excursions around ancient Bukhara

    Excursions and sightseeing of monuments in Bukhara, the pearl of the East, a city with a special atmosphere and the most ancient monuments.

  • Day 6 : Departure from Bukhara to Samarkand via Shakhrisabz. Excursion in Shakhrisabz

    You leave from ancient Bukhara along the southern road towards Samarkand and on the way you enjoy a short excursion in Shakhrisabz, the hometown of Tamerlane, the great commander and statesman of the Middle Ages. Visit the Ak-Saray Palace, as well as splendid monuments of the spiritual and religious heritage of Shakhrisabz. Overnight in Samarkand.

  • Day 7 : Full day excursions in Samarkand

    In the morning you start the visit to the monuments and sights of Samarkand, the oldest city on the Great Silk Road and the capital of the empire of Timur. The list of places that must be visited includes the Registan Square, Timur's Gur-Emir Mausoleum and Bibi-Khanum Complex with the adjoining bazaar.

  • Day 8 : Flight to Moscow. End of the tour

    Early in the morning you end your journey in Uzbekistan. Departure from Samarkand to Moscow at 08:55.
