Tsavo East - Tsavo West - Amboseli - Naivasha - Nakuru - Maasai Mara By Road Economy Safari

Pick up and depart for Tsavo East. Drive towards the main Mombasa - Nairobi highway with a short break around 1000hrs. Arrive at Tsavo East by 1400hrs, home of the red elephants. After lunch relax at the lodge until 1530hrs when the evening game drive starts searching for animals until 1830hrs. Return to the lodge for dinner. Expect to see elephants, lions, cheetah, zebra, antelopes, giraffe, gazelles and many more herbivores. Accommodation at Voi Safari Lodge or similar.

Continuation in Tsavo East with game viewing. The landscape is generally flat aiding photography and animals are often seen near lodge waterholes. Continue game drives and lodge activities as per schedule. Accommodation at Voi Safari Lodge or similar.

Depart Tsavo East and do a game drive en route to Tsavo West from 0800hrs. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and check in. After lunch relax at the lodge until 1500hrs then go for the evening game drive searching for animals until 1830hrs. Return to the lodge for dinner. Expect to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes, giraffe, gazelles and many more herbivores with possibilities of cheetah, leopard and rhino and diverse birdlife. Drive to Amboseli National Park, known for breathtaking views of snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant populations. Amboseli covers about 400 sq km with semi-arid acacia and grass vegetation and papyrus edges in swamplands. Expect to see a wide variety of mammals and over 425 bird species. Accommodation at AA Lodge Amboseli or similar.

Full day in Amboseli with game drives and wildlife viewing framed by views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Populations of elephants are among the highest in Africa and the park supports 56 mammals and hundreds of bird species. Accommodation at AA Lodge Amboseli or similar.

Drive towards Lake Naivasha and take a boat ride on Lake Naivasha en route to Lake Nakuru. Lake Naivasha lies in the Great Rift Valley and is flanked by extensive papyrus swamp and supports bird-watching and fish species. Continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, world famous for bird life and protection of endangered black and white rhino and Rothschild giraffe. Accommodation at Hotel Waterbuck or similar.

Full day in Lake Nakuru National Park focusing on its famed birdlife with over 400 species, protection of black and white rhino and Rothschild giraffe, and presence of lions, leopards, hyenas and many herbivores. Accommodation at Hotel Waterbuck or similar.

Drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve. At over 1500 sq km Masai Mara offers superb game viewing and dramatic spectacles such as wildebeest and zebra migration and Mara River crossings. It is home to resident leopards, lions and cheetahs and features open grassland, acacia woodland, thickets and riverine forests. Accommodation at Masai Manyatta Camp or similar.

Full day in Masai Mara enjoying unlimited game drives, wildlife viewing including the Big Five, and tracking wildebeest migration and Mara River crossings. The Mara landscape allows close range viewing and excellent photography. Accommodation at Masai Manyatta Camp or similar.

Another day in Masai Mara for game viewing, photography and enjoying the ecosystem shared with Tanzania's Serengeti. Expect sightings of leopards, lions, cheetahs and abundant herbivores in open grassland and riverine areas. Accommodation at Masai Manyatta Camp or similar.

Drive from Masai Mara to Nairobi and proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for departure. End of safari adventure.
