In ancient times, the city was called Ujjayini. As mentioned in the Mahabharata epic and Buddhist literature, Ujjayini was the capital of the Avanti Kingdom. Traditionally exalted as one of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) of the Hindus, Ujjain is one of the four sites that host the Kumbh Mela (also called the Simhastha Mela), a quadrennial mass pilgrimage that attracts millions of Hindu pilgrims from around the country. It is also home to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotir linga, one of the twelve Jyotir linga shrines to the god Shiva. An ancient seat of learning, Ujjain is the place where Lord Krishna, along with Balarama and Sudama, received his education from Maharshi Sandipani. Day 1

Ujjain

Bhartrihari Caves

Upon arrival at Ujjain Railway Station meet our representative and transfer to your pre booked hotel. Check in at hotel and after rest and lunch ( on your own) Start temple tour of Ujjain visiting Mahakaleshwar Temple , Sandipani Ashram, Ramghat, Bhartrihari Caves, Harsidhhi Temple, 84 Mahadevas temple . Evening Return back to hotel. Dinner at hotel
Overnight at hotel in at Ujjain.

Day 2

Ujjain – (Omkareshwar 140 Kms) – (Maheshwar -65 kms)

Omkareshwar Temple

After early breakfast check out from hotel and visit to Mahakaleshwar Temple to attain the “BhasmAarti” and proceed to Omkareshwar. Arrive Omkareshwar in afternoon and visit Omkareshwar temple and Brahma temple in Brahmpuri and Vishnu temple in Vishnupuri. Later proceed to Maheshwar. Arrive Mahesh war in late afternoon and check in at your pre booked hotel. Day is at rest or leisure. Dinner at hotel

Maheshwar – Mandu

Morning after breakfast proceed for visiting temples of Mahesh war visiting Sahastar Arjun Temple near the holy river Narmada, Rajrajeshwar Mandir, Kashi VishwanathMandir, Chaturbhuj Narayan Mandir, Ahilya Mata's Chhatris, ChintamaniGanpatiMandir, Pandharinath Mandir, Bhawani Mata Mandir, Gobar Ganesh Mandir, Banke Bihari, Anant Narayan Mandir, Khedapati Hanuman, Ram and Krishna Mandir. Baneshwar temple, Kaleshwar, Jwaleshwar and Narsingh Mandir.
Ek Mukhi Datta Temple is newly constructed temple in Sahastradhara, Jalkoti, and Maheshwar. It's also called "Shiva DattaDham". This temple is constructed in 30 acres of area. Temple area is approx 10000 sq. feet. The temple is situated at the bank of historical Narmada River in its most serious, calm, adventured and horrible form. The main attraction in this temple is the very beautiful idols of Lord Ek Mukhi Datta, Maa Narmada and Lord Ganesha.
Temple of Vindhyavasini Mahesh war, which is one of the Shakti Peeths of Goddess Kali.
After visiting temples in Mahesh war enrooted proceed toMandu (65 Kms.). Upon arrival check in to your pre booked hotel. Dinner at hotel

Mandu

Mandu is an ancient fort city in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. It's surrounded by stone walls dotted with darwazas (gateways). It's also known for its Afghan architectural heritage. Landmark buildings include Hoshang Shah’s Tomb, a domed marble mausoleum, and the vast Jami Masjid mosque, with courtyards framed by colonnades. The imposing, centuries-old JahazMahal palace stands between 2 lakes. Morning after breakfast start your sightseeing tour of Mandu visiting The Darwazas, The Royal Enclave JahazMahal, HindolaMahal, Roopmati’s Pavilion &BazBahadur Palace. Day is free for your own activities or small shopping in Mandu. Dinner at hotel
