After breakfast and check out from Hotel drive to Punakha across Dochu-la pass (3,088m ht.). The highest point on the road is marked by a large Bhutanese chorten and prayer flags fluttering on the hill. On a clear day, there is a breathtaking view over the high peaks of the eastern Himalayas from this spot. (After Lunch at your own cost) Visit Punakha Dzong, the winter seat of the Head Abbot, built by Shabdrung Ngawang namgyal in the distance by foot to one of the country’s largest suspension bridges, with more fine views up valley. (Optional: River rafting at additional cost). Dinner at hotel at your own cost.
