Wenchi Crater Lake Escape – Hiking, Horse Riding & Boat Ride Tour

Departure from the City (07:00 – 10:00)

Travelers are picked up from Addis Ababa and begin driving west through the scenic Rift Valley. Along the way, they pass through the lush Menagesha Suba Forest and continue via Ambo, a town famous for its mineral water.

Descend into the Crater (11:00 – 13:00)

Travelers begin their descent down into the crater of Wenchi.

They can either:

•Walk on a guided hike (~4 km),

• Ride a horse or mule During the descent, they pass through small villages, farmland, and forested areas while enjoying panoramic views of the lake.

Cross the Lake & Visit the Monastery (13:00 – 14:00) At the lakeshore, travelers take a traditional wooden boat across the water to Debre Kirkos Monastery. Here, they explore the historic 13th-century monastery located on an island and learn about its cultural and religious importance.

Lunch by the Lakeside (14:00 – 17.00 PM arrive in Addis Ababa. After the visit, travelers return to the lakeshore to relax and enjoy lunch. They can have a picnic or try traditional Ethiopian food at a local guesthouse. Latter you will drive back to Addis Ababa then, we will drop at your hotel or Airport
