Information Date of Establishment- 1987. Location- Sivaram Sanctuary is located around 50kms from Mancherial and spreads in both the districts of Karimnagar and Adilabad. Area covered- 36.29sq.kms. Season- The best time to visit the sanctuary is between October to March. Explore the wilds of Sivaram Sanctuary! Sivaram Sanctuary runs along the bank of the river Godavari and covers around 36.29sq.kms of the area. The sanctuary is fully forested and mainly the deciduous type constitutes the bulk. The place offers a lot of fun & adventurous and there are various things to see. Below given are the chief attributes of Sivaram Sanctuary. Flora- Sivaram Sanctuary is rich in natural cover and has various types of vegetation that are rare to find any where else. The chief flora includes timan, teak, bamboo, terminalias, gumpena, thorny shrubs and many more. Fauna- Sivaram Sanctuary shelters a wide array of animals like spotted deer, panther, wild boars, sloth beers, tiger, samber, monkeys, jackals, langurs etc. One can even see a large number of crocodiles along the banks of the river Godavari. Chief Attraction Crocodiles- Crocodiles are the chief point of attraction at the Sivaram Sanctuary. Actually the sanctuary, itself was established for protecting the crocodiles. There are various species of fresh water crocodiles found here, muggers being the common example. They can be easily seen lying on the muddy banks of the river Godavari. Accessibility Road- One can easily find a bus from Mancherial (50km from the sanctuary) or from Manthani (10km from the sanctuary). Train- The closet station is located at Mancherial, which is 50 km from Sivaram Sanctuary.
