Sidh Baba Ka Mandir aka the Shrine is a well-known temple in Solan. It is bordered by the loads of lush green vegetation. This is covered by the cloudy Himalayan peaks. This temple came into existence in the late 18th century. According to the residents of this place, this temple was constructed by a King Bhupinder Singh. He wanted to build the temple near his palace but changed it on receiving the orders of the saint in his dreams. He built the temple amid the rocky hillocks at a huge height of 8000 feet above the sea level.
Why Is It Famous?
Sidh Baba Ka Mandir is a temple of a devoted saint. His name was unknown to his followers and was called as Sidh Baba. He was a divine soul that served the society in every possible manner. Serving the needy and teaching humanity among all were his prime concerns. He was worshiped by many of his followers. Even after his demise, many claimed to see him helping the needy.
King Bhupinder Singh, on hearing this news, wanted to honor him by building a temple near his fort. He was visited by Sidh Baba in his dream where the saint politely ordered him to build a temple amid the hillocks. It is said that visiting this temple fetches the blessings of Sidh Baba and he looks after the pilgrims.
Best Time To Visit:-
The best time for visiting the temple of Sidh Baba is throughout the year except for winters. At times when it snows in the region, the temple is closed for a while unless the path is cleared. February-November is the apt time for marking the presence in this temple.
