Scott's Bungalow

Scott’s Bungalow is a famous mansion in Srirangapatna in Mysore, Karnataka. It is an ancient Bungalow that stands near the River Cauvery. It belongs to a British officer named Colonel Scott. This bungalow witnessed the trauma suffered by Colonel Scott. His wife died during childbirth and his daughters passed away due to cholera. He left the bungalow without informing the Mysore Government by availing a medical leave. Since then, the bungalow was untenanted and gradually became a huge attraction for many.

1)    Scott’s Bungalow is an ancient mansion that was built during the rule of British in India.

2)    It was constructed in the English style of architecture near the River Cauvery.

3)    The bungalow is located in the serene surroundings. It has a lawn of well-trimmed blanket of grass and trees that compliment the appearance of the building.

4)    It is a simple mansion from outside but has rich interiors of the then times. The furniture that was once used by Colonel Scott is still present inside.

5)    This mansion is a nice destination for conducting photo shoots as well.

No one is allowed to enter the bungalow without a proper written permission from the government authorities.

Scott’s Bungalow is a governmental property and visitors are not allowed to dump garbage at this place. All are expected to maintain the decorum by not littering the place.
