Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong (100km/4hrs)

Your trip with us will start by receiving you at Guwahati Airport. From there we will take you to Shillong, which will take nearly 4 hours from Guwahati. Shillong, a hill station from Meghalaya is a beautiful place to enjoy holidays. It is famous for its beautiful cloudy Scotland like weather and hence popularly known as Scotland of the East. It is hence a major tourist attraction India. In the route to Shillong from Guwahati, we will stop at Umiam Lake where you can enjoy some Momos with the view by the side of the lake. On reaching the destination, we will check you in the hotel for the night stay. If time permits, we will take you to sightseeing of the city.

Day 2

Shillong to Mawlynnong & Dawki Sightseeing, Mawlynnong to Cherrapunji (245km/9hrs)

Elephant Falls Shillong Peak

The next very morning we will take you on the exciting trip to Mawlynnong, Dawki and Cherrapunji. On the road to Mawlynnong we will show you the Elephant falls and Shillong peak, from where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the beautiful. After a few hours drive we will reach Mawlynnong, the cleanest village of Asia! Mawlynnong is primarily famous for its cleanliness across the globe and also a living root bridge. Very near to Mawlynnong, we will take you to Dawki - a border town at India and Bangladesh border. At Dawki you can enjoy river boating on river Umngot. There is also a beautiful suspension bridge over the river made by British in 1932. After that we will take you to Cherrapunji. You will stay at Cherrapunji for the night.

Day 3

Cherrapunji Sightseeing (60km/7hrs) back to Shillong

Cherrapunji is the wettest place on the Earth. It is also famous for living root bridges, Mawsmai caves, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Seven Sister waterfalls. In whole day sightseeing, we will cover all the beauties of Cherrapunji. You will be staying at Shillong for the night.

Day 4

Cherrapunji to Kaziranga (370km/9hrs)

The next morning we will head out to Kaziranga. It will be around 370 kilometres drive, so it will be a journey day. You will enjoy the roadside views of Meghalaya and Assam and definitely the tasty cuisines of the two states in this journey. Your stay will be at Kaziranga. Also, if time permits we will take you to local sightseeing of Kaziranga.

Day 5

Kaziranga Sightseeing (80km/8hrs)

At the morning we will take you to elephant safari inside Kaziranga National Park. Then we will take you to visit local places nearby such as orchid garden, Karbi ethnic village, Assam heritage tea gardens, and Assamese villages and nearby beautiful spots. After that we will take you to jeep safari of KNP in the afternoon. You will stay for the night at Kaziranga.

Kaziranga to Bomdila , Tezpur Sightseeing (240Km/7hrs)

Day 7

Bomdila to Tawang (200 Km/7hrs)

Tawang Monastery

We will start towards Tawang in the morning. Just outside Dirang, on the way to Tawang there is a hot water spring. After checking out the hot water spring our next stop will be at Vaisakhi where you can enjoy some Dosas in the Dosa point. We will also stop by at certain beautiful places on the way, such as the Sela Pass (13700 feet), the Paradise Lake or the Sela Lake near the Sela Pass, and the War Memorial of Jaswantgarh. Afterwards, we will show you to Nuranang waterfalls which also falls on the way, and then finally reach Tawang. Then, we will head out to see the local places in Tawang. We will show you the places like the Tawang monastery (Asia's 2nd largest monastery), the Nun monastery, the Craft centre, the Emporium, Apple garden, the Sixth Dalai Lama birthplace, and Tawang War Memorial. You can also enjoy the rope ways to Nun monastery. You will stay at Tawang.

Day 8

Around Tawang Sightseeing (150km/7hrs)

This day, we will go out for the sightseeing of places around Tawang, which are not within the locality of Tawang. The places like the Heart Lake, the PTSO Lake, Nagula Lake, Y Junction, Sangester Lake and the Bum La Pass (border of India and China) are nearby Tawang and are scattered in different directions. So it will take a complete day to visit all these places. Also, please note that if you are planning to visit the India - China border, i.e. Bum La Pass then you must choose an itinerary with at least 3 days stay at Tawang as the pass for visiting Bum La Pass cannot be obtained in a same day. Your stay will be at the same place.

Day 9

Tawang to Dirang (155Km/6hrs)

After finishing all the local sightseeing in Tawang, we will start our journey back to Bomdila which falls on the way to Tawang from Nameri. Bomdila is a beautiful town in Himalayan foothill valleys. The places to see in Bomdila are Bomdila monastery, Bomdila market, Tipi orchid garden, which will be shown to you on the next day, and Bomdila view point. Your stay will be at Bomdila.
