After breakfast at 9:00 AM guests depart for Hells Gate National Park from the Lake Naivasha area with packed lunchboxes. Hells Gate is a Category B national park about 5 km from Lake Naivasha with spectacular stone pillars, geothermal springs and unique geology suitable for picnics, hiking and light rock climbing. Upon arrival guests can choose to explore by car or by bicycle, enjoy scenic walks, attempt rock climbing or visit hot spring areas. Guests will have opportunities to get up close and take photos with various herbivores. After the park visit guests are transferred back to Nairobi and escorted to their accommodations. The driving time for the Lake Naivasha to Hells Gate to Nairobi segment is approximately 2 hours for the return drive.
After breakfast at 8:00 AM depart for Lake Naivasha. On arrival proceed to the lakeside to board a boat and then head to Crescent Island for a guided hiking tour. There are options to cycle to Hell Valley for a hike to experience unique landscapes or to visit the park hot spring pool for a relaxing soak. Lake Naivasha is noted for hippos and various waterfowl and lies approximately 1.5 hours drive from Nairobi. Lunch is provided at Lake Naivasha as per the itinerary and after activities guests return to the hotel at about 4:00 PM for rest and dinner.
