Early morning wildlife activity is highlighted with red crowned cranes active near accommodations. Sweetwaters National Reserve straddles the equator and from the campsite looking east guests can see Mount Kenya. Transportation for the day is provided by a four wheel drive off road vehicle. Accommodation is at Mount Kenya Safari Club located at the foot of Mount Kenya, described as a luxurious resort established in 1959. The day includes wildlife viewing opportunities around the lodge including peacocks frequenting the pool area and access to scenic viewpoints of the surrounding wilderness.

The resort and surrounding area offer extensive birdwatching and wildlife observation. The itinerary includes guided activities within the resort area, lunch on site, and additional touring in the afternoon. Guests will return to the hotel around 4:00 PM for check in, rest, and dinner. The day emphasizes off road safari driving, use of the hotel observation deck for animal viewing, and accommodation in featured hotels with standard double rooms.

After breakfast the group departs at 8:00 AM for Sweetwater Nature Reserve with packed lunchboxes. Arrival at the park is expected around 11:00 AM with time to explore the reserve and visit animal care areas including the chimpanzee facilities and animal orphanage. The itinerary notes the threatened status of chimpanzees and references conservation work. Later in the day guests depart for Mount Kenya or return transfers to Nairobi are arranged, with the drive from Mount Kenya to Nairobi taking about three hours. Upon arrival guests are taken back to their accommodations for rest marking the end of the trip.
