3 Day Luxury Safari to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha at 8:30am. The English speaking driver guide will brief about the trip then drive approximately 135 km to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. Lake Manyara features giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains with contrasts including open plains, escarpment, Soda Lake, dense woodlands and distant volcanic peaks. Wildlife commonly seen includes elephants, hippos, impalas, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, blue monkeys and buffaloes. The park is known for tree climbing lions and leopards and provides an excellent introduction to Tanzanias bird life with over 400 species recorded, including pink hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar. Meals: Lunch and Dinner provided.

Early start with breakfast at 05:30am then descend approximately 610 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for about six hours of game viewing with a picnic lunch box. The crater floor supports a high concentration of wildlife and you may spot endangered black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and other species. The crater includes Soda Lake where many bird species such as flamingos can be seen. The crater ecosystem supports large predators like lions and leopards and scavengers such as hyenas and jackals. Late evening drive returns to Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge or similar for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. Tarangire covers approximately 2,600 square kilometers and during dry times it supports very large concentrations of wildlife rivaling the Serengeti with staggering numbers of species such as zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, elephants and Maasai giraffes. Predators in the park include lions, cheetah and leopards and there are numerous bird species including green wood hoopoes, fisher lovebirds, white bellied go away birds and giant kingfishers. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
