Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a professional safari representative and transferred to Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania located at the foot of Mount Meru. Depending on your arrival time you may relax at your lodge, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, or prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead. After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzanias most captivating wildlife destinations and a key highlight of the Northern Safari Circuit. The park covers nearly 3,000 square kilometers and is renowned for its large elephant herds, majestic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River which attracts abundant wildlife during the dry season. Visitors can encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and numerous antelope species. With more than 500 recorded bird species Tarangire is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Following an early breakfast drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africas most extraordinary natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Formed by the collapse of a massive volcano millions of years ago the crater hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife within its fertile grasslands forests and wetlands. During your game drive you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas and the rare black rhinoceros.
