This 4-day safari in Kenya focuses on big elephant herds, Mount Kilimanjaro views when weather permits, open savannah game drives and a relaxed lodge or tented camp experience. The trip starts and ends in Nairobi with transport provided by shared safari van or 4x4 Land Cruiser depending on package. Meals are full board including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Pick up from Nairobi between 6:30 and 8:00am and drive via the Namanga route to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4–5 hours). Upon arrival check in at the lodge or camp and have lunch at camp. In the afternoon enjoy a game drive from 3:30pm to 6:30pm with expected wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and possibly lions. Dinner and overnight stay at an Amboseli lodge or camp.
A full day in Amboseli with an early morning game drive noted as the best wildlife activity, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Mid-morning is reserved for rest or pool time. The afternoon includes another game drive. Highlights for the day include Kilimanjaro sunrise views, observing elephant families crossing swamps and photography opportunities at Observation Hill. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
A full day safari experience starting with a morning game drive. There is an optional Maasai village visit at extra cost. In the afternoon choose between another game drive or a full-day picnic safari. The day focuses on predator tracking including lions and cheetahs and viewing large elephant herds in marsh areas. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or camp.
Optional early morning short game drive followed by breakfast, check-out and a drive back to Nairobi. Arrival and drop-off at hotel or airport is approximately between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.
