Main Destination: Tarangire National Park Travel Time: Approx. 2–3 hours After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, the park's main water source during the dry season, with a landscape of dense elephant grass and acacia woodland. Tarangire is especially known for its large elephant herds gathering along the river, alongside giraffes, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with predators such as lions and leopards nearby. It is also one of the richest bird-breeding grounds in the world. After lunch and a full game drive, continue to Karatu Simba Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay. After the game drive, begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon or evening.
