The Lemosho Route is widely considered the most beautiful and scenic route on Kilimanjaro. Approaching from the west through remote rainforest, it offers incredible views and excellent acclimatization. With its longer duration (7-8 days), Lemosho provides the best acclimatization of any route, resulting in the highest summit success rates — typically over 90%. It's the route we most recommend. The early sections through the Lemosho Glades are some of the most pristine forest on Kilimanjaro, with opportunities to spot elephants, buffalo, and colobus monkeys. The route joins the Machame path at the Shira Plateau.
