The word "Himachal" means the abode of snow. Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh and the total area of the state is 55,673 square km. The state is covered with immense natural beauty and is, undoubtedly, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. A majority of the area is mountainous with lofty ranges, deep valleys, swaying waterfalls and lush greenery. The climate varies extremely from one place to the other, providing heavy rainfalls to some area and no rainfall to others. Being high in altitude, snowfall is a common sight in most parts of the state. There are 12 districts in the state which are further subdivided into blocks and towns and villages for administrative convenience. Himachal Pradesh is known to be the second least corrupt state in the country. Owing to the huge production of apples, Himachal Pradesh is also known as the 'State of Apples'.

After Breakfast and Then Head Out to Explore Popular Sightseeing Spots in Shimla. Major Stops Will Include Kufri, Indira Bungalow, and Himalayan Zoo. Adventure Activities such as Pony Riding and Yak Riding Can also Be Enjoyed.

Day 5

Manali To Solang Valley

Paragliding in Solang Nala Solang Valley Rohtang Pass

After early breakfast proceed for Snow Point on Rohatang road. En route stop at Solang valley. Rohtang pass (altitude 3940 meters) is 51 kms from Manali,but due to heavy snow covered roads, this pass is not acceddible for almost 8 months of the year. Evening back to Manali and time free for individual leisure activities. If roads to Rohtang Pass are closed then visit Snow Point (ponies/horses can be hired directly) (Overnight in Manali).
Kindly Note: National Green Tribunal is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day. So Rohtang Pass by Own Cost if Available Permit - Pay on the spot according Union rate.

Manali to Dharamshala

A distance of 260 kilometer on the way stopping at Baijnath known for its Shiva Temple and further at Palampur famous For Tea Garden. Dharamhsala is a hill-station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar Mountains about 18 kms north-east of Kangra,Over Night Stay Dharamshala.

Dharamshala to Dalhousie, Mecleodganj
