Package Overview

Travel to Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, which is known for its monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes that range from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys. Bhutan has established itself as a distinct island in the Himalaya region where the society, the culture, the economy, polity and the environment are truly maintaining a most harmonious relationship. Bhutan is the only country where the progress is not measured by the popular idea of Gross Domestic Product but only through Gross National Happiness. In the High Himalayas, peaks such as 7,326m Jomolhari are popular trekking destinations.
