Conquering Dzukou valley with Kohima Tour

Welcome to North-East. Meet by our representative in Dimapur airport and transfer to Kohima the Capital of Nagaland. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Kohima.

After breakfast half day city tour of Kohima visit- Cathedral view point, World War II cemetery, State Museum. and later proceed to the Viswema village which is about 25 kms away from Kohima, or to the Zakhama village which is about 20 kms away. Both Zakhama and Viswema village is the ideal base to get to the Dzukou village. Evening free for leisure, overnight stay in the village.

Start early in the morning, don’t forget to carry sufficient supply of food, water, some emergency medicines and glucose. Start from the base and reach Dzukou valley after few hours of highly pleasant trekking. The trek itself is the best part of visiting the Dzukou valley. As you walk through the cleanest tracks, breathing and rejuvenating air, you will fill like there is no other place on the planet you would rather be at. Later hike back to the base camp. Drive to Kohima. Overnight stay at Kohima.

After breakfast excursion to Khonoma, Khonoma Village- the First Green Village in India where no one hunts or cuts trees. Capture the never ending shades of lush greenery around the village. Situated at an altitude of around 5,320 feet above sea-levelhima.another interesting Angami Naga village. Located 20 km West of Kohima, Khonoma village is known for the velour, courage and fighting ability of its people in the past.. This is an area where you may see the rare Blyth’s Tragopan, the state bird of Nagaland. Return back to Kohima. Overnight stay at hotel.
