Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Jaipur

On arrival at Jaipur Airport in the morning, you will be picked up by Footloose Holidays representative and escorted to your pre-booked hotel. Check-in at the hotel, freshen up and relax for a while, relishing a cup of tea/coffee/juice. It is time to get a first glimpse of Pink City, capital city of the desert state, Rajasthan. Begin with a monument that has given a unique identity to this city, Hawa Mahal, an architectural marvel. Also visit City Palace, the palace still serves as home to the former Maharaja and houses a museum which showcases the lives of Rajput Kings in the bygone era. The architecture which is an imposing blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal art will leave you spellbound and curious to know more and more about this rich state. Don’t miss Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory, built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who had a keen interest in astronomy and wanted to instil the same in others. Come back to the hotel where sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you.

Day 2 : Jaipur

The following morning, enjoy your breakfast at leisure and brace yourself for another eventful day as today you will be visiting one of the most magnificent structures which speak volumes of human capacity and talent in creating something as stunning as Amber Fort and the various places inside. You will be spellbound from the moment you set your eyes on it as it is truly picturesque. After this, drive down towards Jal Mahal, another palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, followed by local market visit and shopping which is another enticing factor of Jaipur. One can remain unaffected by the infection of liveliness that one catches here. Enjoy rest of the evening exploring the bazaars or indulging in leisure activities. Come back and relax for the night at the hotel, enjoying Rajasthani hospitality.

Day 3 : Jaipur – Bikaner 350kms/6hrs

After a hearty breakfast, it is time to be driven towards Bikaner, a true desert city, surrounded by the Thar Desert. As you arrive in Bikaner, check-in at your pre-booked hotel. Once the check-in formalities are over, proceed for Bikaner sightseeing tour and the first and foremost destination must be Junagadh Fort, amazingly huge structure, built so beautifully showcasing true craftsmanship. A unique feature of this fort is that it is surrounded by a water moat which is believed to have bred crocodiles in the past. If you are still left with some time, take a quick look at Karni Mata Temple and don’t get intimidated by the presence of several mice hopping around the temple complex and being worshipped by people as they are believed to bring good fortune. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer 350kms/6hrs

Enjoy your morning meal a little earlier than the usual time as you would soon be heading for another beautiful destination where a desert safari on these amazing sand dunes await you. It is time to complete the check-out formalities and visit the Camel Breeding Farm before being driven to Jaisalmer, the heart of the Thar Desert, famously known as the Golden City of India. Check-in at the hotel on arrival in Jaisalmer and enjoy a relaxed meal and overnight stay.

Day 5 : Jaisalmer – Sam Dunes 50kms/01hour

After your breakfast at the hotel, embark on sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer which includes Jaisalmer Fort, the fort standing tall and proud in the desert land, a lone witness to the bygone era of the valiant warriors. Enjoy the visual treat of architectural excellence at Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli and Patwon Ki Haveli. Later, in the evening drive to Sam Sand Dunes & enjoy the camel safari, cultural programs along with the dinner. Make your evening more enjoyable with this overnight stay at Desert Camp in Sam Dunes.

Day 6 : Sam Dunes – Jodhpur 300kms/5hrs

Next morning, wake up amidst the golden sand dunes and witness the most memorable sunrise of your life here. Enjoy your breakfast and drive towards Jodhpur, not only the second largest city of Rajasthan but also possessing bountiful of gifts in the form of rich heritage and welcoming people. It is also known as the Blue City of India. On arrival, check-in at the hotel already booked for you. Utilise your evening time visiting Umaid Bhawan Palace, a magnificent palace which is the home of royal family of Jodhpur. Here you can view the museum which is built in a portion of this huge structure. You can also visit the hotel which has been housed in a part of this amazingly big palace complex. It is time to listen to another story of the Rajput rulers in the Mehrangarh Fort (The fort is situated 400ft. / 122m in height making us realise as to why these structures remain invincible. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 7 : Jodhpur – Back home
