The Great Migration
Africa is full of amazing wildlife experiences but one of the most spectacular to witness is the Great Migration. A once in a lifetime experience and on the bucket list of many a traveller to Africa, none can surpass this incredible spectacle: a million wildebeest crossing the plains of the Serengeti in search of fresh grass while braving predators and perilous river crossings.
Mount Kilimanjaro
Located in North Eastern Tanzania, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and can be seen from far into Kenya. The mountain represents a powerful life force for the local Chagga people and all those who have made their lives around the mountain, providing rich volcanic soils for agriculture and an endless source of pure spring waters. 75,000 people climb Kilimanjaro every year so it is not the most untouched mountain, nor is it the most arduous, however it is still an awe inspiring sight to behold and highly recommended for anyone with even a vague interest in mountaineering.

You will have breakfast at 7.00 Am and depart for Masai Mara National Reserve, you will arrive in Time
for Lunch and later proceed for Check in. Masai Mara National reserve holds on as one of the few places
left on earth where wildlife still lives comparatively undisturbed, in the numbers that once roamed the
plains and forests of Africa. As the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara hosts the
spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras, and attendant predators. Arrive
in time for lunch then have an afternoon game drive. All meals at Sentrim Mara or Mara serena Safari
Lodge https://www.serenahotels.com/nairobi /
After breakfast at 600 am you will proceed for a full day dame drive, with a packed lunch provided.
The reserve is well known for its black-manned lion, as well as its abundant resident wildlife and it’s one
of the few places where it’s possible to see the big five during a morning game drive. Many of the
cheetahs are so tame they seek shelter from the hot sun under one's vehicle and several even climb
onto the roof to get better view of prospective prey. For the bird enthusiast, almost 500 species have
been recorded: among these 16 species of eagle, plus many hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8
species of storks, 4 of bustard (including the Kori bustard, the world's heaviest flying bird), and 9
species of sun birds.
All meals at Sentrim Mara or Mara serena Safari Lodge https://www.serenahotels.com/nairobi /
Early breakfast at 6.30AM. after breakfast at 7AM, you will check out of the lodge and our driver
guide will transfer you to the airstrip to board your flight to Tarime which is near the Kenya and Tanzania
boarder. Once in the airstrip, you will board a flight departing Masai Mara at 8.15AM to arrive in Tarime
at 10.10AM. Upon arrival at the Tarime Airstrip, you drive to Isebania border to clear with customs and
cross the border where our driver guide from our sister company will pick you and drive to Serengeti
National Park which is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its
natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. (With its wide-open spaces,
bright blue skies, and creature-filled landscape, over the next three days you will discover why the fabled
Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa.” Large prides of lion’s laze in the long grasses; plentiful
families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains, while giraffes,
gazelles, monkeys, elands, and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring
numbers).Arrive in time for lunch , dinner and overnight at Lodge. Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or
Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge. https://www.serenahotels.com/serengeti or

Early breakfast at 6.30 AM – then with Hot Picnic Lunches depart your lodge for an extensive
day of game viewing drives - exploring the wonders of Serengeti. Look out for the elusive leopard which
likes to hide in the tall yellow fever trees on the plains. Or experience the wildebeest, Zebras, and other
plains animals migrating to Kenya’s Masai Mara. Every year, triggered by the rains, 1.3 million wildebeest,
200,000 zebra, and 300,000 Thomson's gazelle gather to undertake the long trek to new grazing lands.
The migration of the herbivores roughly defines the boundaries of Serengeti National Park, which is the
central zone of the Serengeti ecosystem, an area that also takes in Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve,
the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the East, and The Grumeti to the West and the Maswa Game
Reserve in the South. The Serengeti is not only famous for the great Wildebeest Migration but also for
the vast number of species that reside in the park year-round. The concentration of predators in the
Serengeti is high with large prides of lion, numerous hyena clans, and regular sightings of both cheetah
and leopard. Elephant, buffalo, giraffe, and antelope can be found feeding on the rich plains as well as
some of the lesserknown and hard-to-spot species such as aardwolf, mongoose caracal, servals, and
hyrax.

one hour drive from this lodge and is the largest intact caldera crater in the world. Its enduring charm
stems from its overwhelming physical beauty and the abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the
crater floor. By 9.30AM Descend to the floor of the crater where you will spend six (6) hours of game
viewing and picnic lunch in this spectacular mythical biosphere. Later in the afternoon at 3PM, depart the
Ngorongoro Crater to Ngorongoro Wild Camp. Arrive in the Lodge late in the afternoon and proceed straight
to the lodge. Arrive and check in for dinner and overnight. All meals and overnight, Ngorongoro Wild

On this day after breakfast at 700 am, you will depart for a guided walk to Marangu Village and
waterfall With a Picnic Lunch. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of
Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chaga people
who once withstood vicious Maasai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Your day tour includes a
visit to these Chaga tunnels, a hike to a beautiful waterfall, a tour of a local coffee plantation, and the
opportunity to sample the potent banana beer that is popular with the locals.
The exact order of activities on your tour may vary, but all Marangu Village tours include:
• Kilasya Falls: The walk to these picturesque falls is a leisurely hike through local banana
plantations and quiet clusters of homes. You'll use steppingstones to cross the river and there's a bit of
muddy downhill hiking to get there, but the reward at the end is a towering waterfall with blessedly cool
waters beneath. The particularly adventurous may even wish to hop in for a quick swim.
• Local coffee plantation tour: You'll pay a visit to a locally owned and operated coffee
plantation to learn more about the process that takes the beans from the tree to our cups. Try your hand
at manually grinding and roasting beans, and reward your hard work with some delicious, fresh coffee.
• Chaga tunnels tour: You'll venture down into the inky black darkness of the tunnels in which
Chaga sheltered when the Maasai would raid from the lowlands. Your guide will guide you unerringly
through the underground labyrinth as he describes the days of guerilla warfare and how the people
survived underground for so long.
• Banana beer tasting: Visit a local banana beer vendor to try this potent local brew.
Your day tour also includes either a picnic lunch or lunch at a local restaurant (at extra Cost)
After an eventful day, return to your hotel for an overnight.
