Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
Catch your morning flight, departing from Wilson Airport for Samburu National Reserve.

Arrive at the Lodge/Camp for check-in. Have the rest of the morning at leisure.
Lunch at the Lodge followed by some leisure hours for a siesta/swim before you depart at around 16:00hrs for an afternoon game viewing and return back to the camp before sunset.

Dinner and overnight at your Lodge/ Camp.

Day 2: Samburu Full day
Explore Shaba National Game Reserve.
This full day in the Shaba/Samburu Game Reserve will be spend searching for the big five, the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drive, watching crocodiles bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys frolic in the late afternoon sun. The reserve has dramatic scenery including river-side forests, scattered woodlands and dry grasslands dominated by the Shaba Hill volcano. The plentiful wildlife relies on waterholes and marshes scattered throughout the reserve.
Besides normal species found elsewhere in Kenya; the area is a natural home to the five rare species known as the five northern species which are endemic to this area. They are Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx, Somali ostrich and the gerenuk. Shaba is also the home for the highly endangered Williamson’s lark. All these rare species can only be found inside this game reserve.
In addition, you will have a chance to interact with the Samburu People to learn about their culture. (Cost of the visit extra about 30$ per person)
