Explore Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem in northern Tanzania known for flamingos, tree climbing lions, elephants and diverse birdlife set within forests, wetlands and the Great Rift Valley. Arrival at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport followed by transfer to your lodge near Lake Manyara. In the afternoon undertake a game drive exploring the acacia woodlands where you can spot elephants and giraffes. Enjoy sunset photography at the lake edge before returning to the lodge for overnight accommodation.
Early morning game drive into Lake Manyara National Park focused on locating the park famous tree climbing lions and observing buffalo herds and other game. A picnic lunch is arranged near the lake. In the afternoon enjoy a birdwatching tour around the soda lake and wetlands to view flamingos and other migratory and resident bird species. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge.
Option for a walking safari or guided nature walk to learn about the park flora and fauna followed by a scenic drive to the parks viewpoints for panoramic Great Rift Valley photos. Conclude with return to Arusha or Moshi in the late afternoon.
