Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Paro Airport. Upon arrival, meet & greet and after visa formalities transfer to Thimphu (65 km / 2 hrs) (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. Check into hotel.
Day 2

After breakfast, visit King's Memorial Chorten (Monument), Changangkha Monastery, National Zoo (Contains National Animal Takin), National Library, BBS Tower, Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, School of Arts and Crafts, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Traditional Paper Factory (made from Daphne plant).
Day 3

After breakfast, drive to Punakha (77 km / 3 hrs) / Wangdue Phodrang (4,300 ft.), via Dochu-La-Pass (10,170 ft.). Continue towards Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang - The Temple of Fertility built in the 15th century. Also, visit Punakha Dzong. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Evening free for leisure.
Day 4

After breakfast, visit Wangdue Dzong & start for a full day excursion to Gangtey (9,840 ft.). Gangtey is the home of Black Necked Crane which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. It is a beautiful valley in Bhutan. You can visit Gangtey Gompa. Afternoon return back to Punakha.
Day 5

After breakfast, Check out the hotel, proceed to Paro (7,483 ft.)(140 km / 5 hrs). Upon arrival check into the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Rinpung Dzong - the administrative seat of the district of Paro. The evening is free for leisure.
Day 6

After breakfast, visit Drukgyel Dzong. Also, visit the famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger's Nest” (2 hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu monastery.
Day 7

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Paro Airport for your return journey.
