this Tour is Specially Tailored for People Who are Interested in Meditation. Mahabodhi is the Only Centre in Ladakh to Conduct Dhamma Talks and Meditation Programs. Situated in the Center of Leh City (which is Away from the Main Bazaar and Not Too Noisy) Daily Meditation Courses are Conducted for the Benefit and Happiness of the People Those Who Come from Within and Outside India. At this Centre, Mahabodhi Conducts Yoga and Meditation Classes (monday Through to Saturday) Throughout the Summer Months.
Arrival Leh
Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and transfer to hotel for check in. Complete day for rest and leisure to acclimatize. In the evening we’ll visit to Leh Market & Shanti Stupa. Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Leh - Excursion to Different Monasteries (50 Kms)
After Breakfast we’ll proceed for our monastery tour. It will include Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiskey Monastery, an impressive complex on a hill above the village, Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Sindhu Ghat & Stok Palace. Dinner & overnight at the hotel.
Leh - Excursion to Lamayuru & Ridzong (125 Kms)
After breakfast we’ll drive towards Kargil to visit Lamayuru Monastery which belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat) and Ridzong Gompa which is known as the paradise for Meditation. It is believed that Guru Padma Sambhava meditated here for years. One can still find the small caves where Lamas used to meditate for years cutting themselves from the rest of the world except for a one feet square outlet window from where they accept the one time meal of the day. After Ridzong visit we’ll drive back to Leh and check in at hotel for overnight stay.
