Full day Hanoi city tour with hotel pickup at 08:00. Morning visits include Tran Quoc Pagoda on West Lake, the Ho Chi Minh complex including the preserved body of Ho Chi Minh and surrounding garden and houses, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the 54 ethnic groups (or the Womens Museum if Ethnology Museum is closed on Mondays). Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visits include the Temple of Literature, Vietnams first university founded in the 11th century, and Hoa Lo Prison Museum which was used by French colonists and later housed US POWs during the Vietnam War. Return to hotel to relax and overnight in Hanoi. Pickup from your hotel and transfer by Limousine Bus to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival at the harbour join the cruise by tender and receive a welcome drink. After check in onboard, enjoy lunch in the cruise restaurant. Participate in cruise itinerary activities which may include exploring caves and grottos, kayaking, and a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. Morning visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels to explore the complex tunnel system including custom built living areas with kitchens, bedrooms, material storage and weapon factories. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue with a 3.5 hour drive to the Mekong Delta region (My Tho Ben Tre). Embark on a motorboat to visit Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix islands and enjoy views of the Mekong River. Stop at a traditional workshop to see coconut candy production and visit a honey farm with opportunities to try local tasks. Take a short walk to a restaurant to enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea accompanied by Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by locals. Experience a rowboat ride along local canals, then motorboat back to the harbour. Drive approximately 1.5 hours back to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
