Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Jallianwala Bagh

Golden Temple Gobindgarh Fort

Sat Sri Akal! On arrival you will be transferred and checked into your hotel. Later in the day we will visit the Partition Museum and the Jallianwala Bagh where one of India’s biggest tragedies took place. Time permitting we may go to the Gobindgarh fort where you will get to witness a unique sound and light show. From here we go to The Golden temple to experience the Palki Ceremony at dusk, accompanied with drums and hymns that fill the air.

Day 2

Wagah Border

Golden Temple

After a hearty Breakfast we will head back to the Golden Temple to get a different view of this spectacular shrine in the day as well as if possible get a chance to eat & to volunteer at the community kitchen. We will then make our way to the Wagah Border where you will witness the one of a kind ceremony that takes place between the soldiers of India and Pakistan every evening at the border. On your last night in Amritsar get your appetite ready as we set up a bonfire and have “Punjabi Khaana” accompanied by some energetic Bhangra and Dhol!

Day 3

Food and Culture Walk

Before you depart to the airport, embark on a food and culture walk into the by-lanes and dhabas of Amritsar that truly give you a feel of the city…. before going into a village on a tractor to experience what its like to be a local by getting a turban tied and engaging in some kite flying. All good things must come to an end so we will then make our back to the hotel where you will be transferred to the airport to head back home with some amazing memories.
