SAFARI GUIDELINES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Driving Rules in the Parks
Our driver will drive slowly for safety – max speed is 50km/h in parks, and 25km/h inside Ngorongoro Crater.
Off-road driving is not allowed, unless your guide says it’s okay.
No night driving in parks (from 7:00pm to 6:00am), except in places where it is allowed like Tarangire and Lake Manyara.
Park Rules

Please respect the rules below while inside the parks:
Do not drink water from rivers, lakes, or natural sources.
Throw trash in proper bins only – let’s keep nature clean!
Do not throw cigarettes on the ground – use your vehicle’s ashtray.
Do not pick plants, stones, bones, or anything from the park.
Do not bring any animals or plants into the park.
Do not bring weapons, poison, or explosives.
Do not get out of the car near animals.
Do not disturb, feed, or chase animals.
Do not take photos of local people (e.g. Maasai) without asking your guide. A small tip might be needed.

Day wise Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha/Moshi

    Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly OneTime African Tours and Safari team and transferred to your eco-lodge in Arusha/Moshi. After check-in, you will receive briefing and cultural orientation covering safety, local customs, and an overview of the itinerary. The rest of the day is yours to relax and recover from your journey and begin soaking in the atmosphere of Tanzania

  • Day 2 : Volunteer Program Begins

    Your volunteer experience begins with a morning transfer to the designated community project or NGO site, where you’ll be introduced to the local team. Today’s focus will be on orientation and beginning your contribution—possibly assisting teachers in classrooms, participating in environmental clean-up, or supporting local health awareness efforts. You’ll work alongside local leaders and coordinators who will guide your activities. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and the evening may include an optional local excursion or cultural exchange activity.

  • Day 3 : Community Impact Work

    Your volunteer journey continues with hands-on involvement in meaningful community projects. You might find yourself planting trees for conservation, organizing youth empowerment sessions, or helping with sanitation education in rural schools. Your morning will be spent in direct service while the afternoon offers time for reflection, journaling, or optional engagement with the local community. Meals are included and evenings may feature interactive cultural activities such as Swahili language classes or traditional music performances.

  • Day 4 : Volunteer Activities – Ongoing

    Your third day of volunteering allows for deeper engagement with your chosen project. You’ll continue receiving guidance from on-site coordinators, and enjoy your meals in a communal setting. In the evening, you may have an option to visit a local artisan market or join a cooking session to learn traditional Tanzanian recipes.

  • Day 5 : Volunteering – Final Day

    Your final day of volunteer work is a chance to wrap up your contributions and say goodbye to the community you’ve supported. You may help document your project’s progress, share final moments with students or team members, and participate in a small farewell ceremony if arranged. After lunch, you’ll return to your accommodation for some rest and preparation for the safari portion of your adventure. A quiet evening will allow you to reflect on your service experience and prepare for the wildlife exploration ahead.

  • Day 6 : Arusha/Moshi - Tarangire National Park – Karatu

    Your safari adventure begins with an early morning drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive guided by a professional wildlife expert who will help you spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and possibly leopards. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a scenic location, followed by more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. In the evening, you’ll check in to your safari lodge or tented camp for a relaxing night surrounded by nature.

  • Day 7 : Karatu - Serengeti National Park

    After breakfast, you will drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy incredible views of Maasai villages, volcanic landscapes, and wildlife corridors. Upon entering Serengeti, you’ll begin your first afternoon game drive across the vast savannah, famous for its resident lions, hyenas, elephants, and seasonal wildebeest migration. In the evening, you’ll arrive at your safari camp, where you’ll enjoy dinner, storytelling around a campfire, and stargazing under the African sky.

  • Day 8 : Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti

    Today offers a full day to explore the heart of Serengeti National Park. Game drives will take you through different ecosystems—grassy plains, river valleys, and rocky outcrops—each teeming with diverse wildlife. Expect to encounter cheetahs on the hunt, herds of buffalo, and an abundance of birdlife. Depending on the season, you may witness the great migration or predator-prey interactions. In the evening, return to your camp for another peaceful night in the wilderness, accompanied by the sounds of the bush and warm hospitality. Today you have an option for a hot air Balloon Safari.

  • Day 9 : Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Arusha/Moshi

    An early breakfast is followed by a drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you’ll descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano that hosts an incredible density of animals. During the game drive, expect to see rhinos, hippos, wildebeest, lions, and flamingos all in one compact area. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed near a hippo pool, after which you can opt to visit a Maasai Boma to learn about the traditional lifestyle and customs of the Maasai people. In the evening, you’ll return to Arusha for your final night.

  • Day 10 : Departure or Optional Zanzibar Extension

    Your final day in Tanzania begins with a relaxed breakfast followed by time for souvenir shopping or exploring local craft markets. After a farewell with your guide and team, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home. If you wish to continue your adventure, we offer an optional beach extension to the beautiful island of Zanzibar for rest and relaxation on the Indian Ocean.

Pay the balance based on your accommodation type:

Clients pay all transfer charges to make sure we receive full amount
If any amount is missing on arrival, it will be paid on the first day
Cancellation & Refund Policy :CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

All changes or cancellations must be sent in writing (email).
We suggest postponing your trip instead of canceling – it avoids penalties.
Changes that add people or days may increase the cost.
If services are removed after booking, it is treated like a cancellation.

More than 31 days before No charge
30–15 days before 50% of total cost
14–7 days before 75% of total cost
6 days or less (or no-show) 100% of total cost
