As soon as all the guests are on board, The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda starts sailing along the main waterway on the beautiful Vembanad Lake and enters the Alleppey canal. You can make this trip memorable by participating with the local fishermen and understanding the life cycle of "karimeen", or "pearl spot".

Experience the magic of Kerala as you sail through those beautiful waterways for four hours. Enjoy the sunset as the vessel returns to the Vembanad Lake. In the evening, enjoy a ‘Kathakali’ dance performance through which you will get to enjoy stories from the ancient Hindu epics - Ramayana and Mahabharata.

The day begins as the Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda sails from the Vembanad Lake jetty and heads towards the south, towards the star highlight of Kerala, Alleppey.

Savor breakfast onboard.

As the vessel sails through the beautiful backwaters, have a look at life set close to these waterways. Take a transfer to the traditional rice boat and enjoy moving through the narrower sections of the backwaters. Get to know about the life of people living around the region and get familiar to their lifestyle and culture. Also visit the half-statue of Lord Buddha at Karumadi and a traditional Kerala tharavad (family residence) during this cruise.

Later, get back to the Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda and enjoy lunch as the vessel sails through breathtaking stretches of the backwaters. On reaching back to the Vembanad Lake, enjoy Vrinda Vadiyam, which is a musical fusion of classical instruments. Motor Vessel Vrinda will anchor at the Vembanad Lake Jetty for the night. The Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda sails from the serene Vembanad Lake jetty and heads to the south direction passing through Kanjippadam. As the vessel anchors near Chambakulam, take a transfer to the rice boat for pre-lunch sightseeing excursion.

Visit St. Mary’s Church that was established by St. Thomas in the year 1721. Also visit Sree Bhagavathy Kshetram, a 100-year old Hindu temple dedicated to Mother Goddess. With this excursion, you can explore the Chambakulam snake boat yard. The yard houses one of the traditional long snake boats used in races in the past.

A qualified guide will be there with you to make you explore and experience the treasure of Kerala. As you get back to the vessel in the afternoon, get ready to return to Vembanad Lake. On reaching, enjoy a "Mohiniattam" performance on board. Also known as ‘Dance of the Enchantress’, Mohiniyattam is a classical dance form. Enjoy dinner on board.
