Welcome to Tanzania and the beginning of your True African journey. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be welcomed by the True Africa Escape team and assisted with luggage before meeting your private safari guide. You will be transferred to Arusha city at the foot of Mount Meru experiencing local villages colorful markets traditional lifestyles and surrounding landscapes en route. Driving time from the arrival airport to Arusha is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. In the evening your safari guide will provide a detailed safari briefing covering the daily schedule safety guidelines and wildlife viewing expectations. After an early breakfast your True Africa Escape adventure officially begins as you depart Arusha traveling through northern Tanzanian countryside passing small villages farms and local communities toward Tarangire National Park. Distance to Tarangire is approximately 160 km with driving time of 3 to 4 hours including game viewing. Tarangire known as the Elephant Paradise of Tanzania features large elephant populations ancient baobab trees seasonal wetlands and excellent wildlife viewing. You will enjoy a game drive with your experienced guide and a picnic lunch in a scenic location inside the park. After afternoon game viewing you will leave Tarangire and continue to the green highlands of Karatu near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to relax at your lodge and enjoy dinner. After breakfast you continue toward one of Africas most famous wildlife destinations the Serengeti. The route passes through the Great Rift Valley region and the landscapes surrounding Lake Manyara offering dramatic escarpments lush forests and open plains. You will enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park renowned for incredible birdlife tree climbing lions groundwater forests hippos and flamingos. Distance to Serengeti is approximately 250 km with driving time of 5 to 6 hours including game viewing and stops. After exploring Lake Manyara you continue to Serengeti entering the endless plains and begin your first afternoon game drive upon arrival. A full day dedicated to discovering the wonders of Serengeti National Park one of the greatest wildlife areas on Earth. The day begins early with a sunrise game drive when many animals are most active providing excellent wildlife viewing and photographic opportunities as predators and herds move across the plains. After morning exploration you return to camp for breakfast and continue deeper into the park. Serengeti offers sightings of lions cheetahs leopards elephants and large grazing herds depending on season and location. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness and continue afternoon exploration culminating in the magical Serengeti sunset. Meals included Breakfast Picnic Lunch and Dinner. After breakfast enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The route of approximately 150 km with driving time of 3 to 4 hours offers changing scenery as you leave the open Serengeti plains and travel to the highlands with continued wildlife viewing opportunities. Upon arrival near Ngorongoro you will visit viewpoints overlooking the magnificent crater a volcanic natural wildlife sanctuary surrounded by steep walls. The evening is spent relaxing at your lodge enjoying cooler highland temperatures and preparing for the crater adventure the next day. Meals included Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Today you explore the Ngorongoro Crater one of Africas greatest natural wonders. After an early breakfast you will descend approximately 600 meters into the crater floor a UNESCO World Heritage Site home to thousands of animals within a unique ecosystem. During the crater game drive you will search for the Big Five enjoying some of the highest chances of wildlife encounters in Tanzania. A picnic lunch is served near the hippo pool before slowly ascending from the crater and beginning the journey back to Arusha. Distance back to Arusha is approximately 210 km with driving time of 4 to 5 hours. Meals included Breakfast Picnic Lunch and Dinner.

After breakfast and depending on your flight schedule your driver will transfer you to the airport for departure.
