Package Tour Detail
Trek to \"KHATLING GLACIER & MASAR TAL\", Uttrakhand.
The Khatling Glacier is a lateral glacier, at the source of the River Bhilangana. Sahasratal and Masartal are on the west and east of it respectively. The Valley of Bhilangana affords a panoramic view of the snow-capped peaks and hanging glaciers. The Jogin group, Kiristambha and Meru are all sublime and magnificent. The entire trek to Khatling Glacier passes through thick forests and beautiful lush green meadows in the beginning. Later, it crosses two passes above 17000 ft. and negotiates glaciers, morains and a snow patch.
The whole trek passes through very thick forests and beautiful lush green meadows. In the rainy season, the meadows are ablaze with the colours of a myriad flowers. Trekkers on this route have to cross scores of small streams using the improvised log bridges.
Day Wise Breakup
Day 1 - Delhi - Rishikesh
Departure Delhi to Rishikesh at 0800 hrs.. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 - Rishikesh - Ghuttu
Departure Rishikesh to Ghuttu at 0600hrs. Overnight at rest house.

Day 3 - Ghuttu
Acclimatization Day at Ghuttu.

Day 4 - Ghuttu - Reeh
10 km trek Ghuttu to Reeh. overnight in tent.

Day 5 - Reeh to Gangi
10 km trek Reeh to Gangi. overnight in tent.

Day 6 - Gangi - Kalyani
05 km trek Gangi to Kalyani Lunch, dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 7 - Kalyani
Acclimatization Day at Kalyani. overnight in tent.

Day 8 - Kalyani - Bhelbage
13 km trek Kalyani to Bhelbage. Overnight in tent.

Day 9 - Khatling Glacier
07 km trek Bhelbage to Khatling Glacier with pack lunch. In the afternoon 7 km trek back to Bhelbage .Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 10 - Bhelbage - Masartal
10 km trek Bhelbage to Masartal lunch, Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 11 - Masartal - Bhelbage
10 km trek Masartal to Bhelbage lunch Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 12 - Bhelbage to Gangi
18 km trek Bhelbage to Gangi with pack lunch Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 13 - Gangi - Ghuttu
20 km trek Gangi to Ghuttu with pack lunch. Dinner and overnight in tent.

Day 14 - Ghuttu - Rishikesh
Departure Ghuttu to Rishikesh at 0900 hrs. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15 - Rishikesh - Delhi
Departure Rishikesh to Delhi at 0900 hrs. reach Delhi 1700 hrs.

Package Includes
Services while on the trek will include
Transportation : - All transportation in deluxe coach Innova or Quails.
Accommodation : - During the travel shared accommodation in the rooms of tourist Rest house / Tourist Bungalows and Hotel Tented accommodation on sharing basis during the trek.
Cloakroom facilities are available at Base Camp.
Equipment for the Trek : - We provide all equipment for the trek like 2 or 4-men alpine tents at the higher campsites, carry mattress in every tent, warm sleeping bags and strong technical nylon fabric rucksacks. You are just required to bring your clothing & good strong pair of walking boots.
Medical Facilities : - Facilities for proper medical aid are available at every campsite throughout the trek. However those on special medication or with known drug allergies should bring their own necessary medications. People having asthma, blood pressure, heart or high altitude ailments should strictly not participate.
Safety : - Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of trek routes keeping safety in mind. Our experienced camp leaders have been constantly visiting the area to check all the details. Stringent safety standards are adhered to strictly, and only quality equipment is used.
Environment Protection : - One aspect of this programmer is ensuring environmental protection preserving ecology. Wrappers, empty boxes exc. Shall not be littered but carried to the next camp for necessary disposal. Only footprints would leave.
Mules, Porters & Cooks : - Mules for porterage while on trek to the maximum of 10kgs / one rucksack per person. No suitcases please only duffel bags. Services of cooks, porters etc.
Tour Does Not Include
- Drinks personal expenses, tips, laundry, telephone calls, personal medicines and even expenses incurred due to reasons beyond our control such as bad weather or road blocks due to land slides etc.
- Transportation to & fro the last road head.
- Anything not specified in the itinerary as above.
- Travel Insurance.
- Any increase in road taxes, diesel, entrance fees or any other govt.- imposed taxes.
- Evacuation charges, damage of any nature, entry permits, entrance fees at monasteries.
- If the trek day are increased they will be subject to extra charges.
Discipline
Smoking, use of drugs & alcohol is strictly prohibited. Defaulter will be sent back at their own risk and cost and in addition liable for legal action. The discipline also includes carrying out any task in connection with the programme assigned by the Camp Leader.

Rights of Sam
- Sports Academy of Mountaineering (SAM) reserves the right to increase the package price, change the number of days or trek route if the situation so desires due to unforeseen reasons.
- Sports Academy of Mountaineering (SAM) reserves the right to reject any application.
- The package excludes any kind of personal expenses such as STD calls, laundry, and personal sight seeing or any such expenses that may arise due to unforeseen events like roadblocks due to landslides etc.
- All disputes subject to Delhi Jurisdiction only.
Cancellation Rules : -
- 5 days before departure of tour/trek NO REFUND.
- 10 days before departure of tour/trek 50% deduction.
- 15 days before departure of tour/trek 30% deduction.
- 20 days before departure of tour/trek 20% deduction.
- 30 day days before departure of tour/trek 10% deduction.
Company Liability : -
- It is in the nature of a holiday of this kind to be flexible. The day-to-day agenda and ultimate goal of the tour is taken as an aim and not as a contractual obligation. We shall not be responsible for the delays or alterations in the program or expenses incurred due to conflict, international or internal flight delay or cancellations, strikes, sickness, weather, landslides, war, vehicle problems, political closures and disputes.
- The booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the potential risks and hazards that can be involved in holidays of this kind. Sports Academy of Mountaineering, along with our associates/leaders/guides and any one else working in association with us can not be held responsible for any death, accident or mishap that may occur in connection with any part of, or services connected with the holiday/adventure trip.
- The cost is for the entire package and there would be no refunds in case any part of the package is not availed.
- Company would not be liable to pay any kind of compensation arising because of any mishap, sickness, accident etc.
General Instruction
- Trekking is a completely world of activities when our normal life. Uncertainties have to be faced with courage and determination. To face all these unlike problems, some important tips for a traveller on these adventurous yet demanding terrain are being described below:
- A complete medical check-up prior to start trekking.
- Toning up of the body and acclimatization should be strictly observed.
- Patients of ASTHMA and DIABETES should restrict their climb up 3000 meters above see level.
- Protect the body from changing weathers.
- Use well broken comfortable walking shoes. The Shoes/Boots should be sufficiently used before treks to avoid blisters.
