Jardim Botanico

Jardim Botanico is also known as Garden of Cerrado. Cerrado is a large Tropical Savanna Eco region of Brazil. As you enter the garden, you are welcomed by a row of 150 royal palms planted back in 19th century when the garden was constructed. The captivating aura of the place is just perfect if you are looking to spend an hour or two in the arms of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of Rio. You will find more than 8000 species of plants in the garden. The lake inside is filled with water lilies and orchids blooming stunningly add to the charm of the place. Do not forget to carry a banana, you will find many monkeys inside.
