Kali Ka Tibba

Kali Ka Tibba is a beautiful Hindu temple in the region of Chail in Solan. It is located on a hilltop. It is surrounded by the misty snow-clad Himalayas. Situated amidst the jagged hills, this shrine is dedicated to Goddess Kali and is also known as Kali Mata Mandir. Due to its location, it has emerged as a major tourist site in Solan and is frequently visited by lots of visitors and devotees.

Why Is It Famous?
Kali Ka Tibba is famous because it is one among the oldest hill temples in the mesmeric Chail. It stands atop a hill from where the thrilling view of the Shivalik range can be witnessed. The temple is surrounded by the beautiful hills that attract the visitors from different parts of the state.

The deity of the temple is Goddess Kali, a furious form of Goddess Parvati, the holy consort of Lord Shiva. Her idol is beautifully carved out of the black marble and is worshiped on a daily basis.

Kali Ka Tibba is a holy shrine and it attracts the devotees extensively. This site can be visited during any time of the year. However, the apt time to witness the beauty of this hill temple is during Navaratri. It is a festival that is celebrated here with a great pomp as numerous pilgrims gather and chant the divine names of Goddess Kali.

Watch Out!
There are some rules and regulations that should be followed by every pilgrim visiting Kali Ka Tibba. No individual is allowed to enter the temple premises if he’s wearing any leather item or is drunk. Photography is also prohibited here.
Try to be a participant in the Navaratri celebrations here. It is an experience in itself.
