Dhulikhel is a Newari town connecting tourist with their typical tradition, Mountain Viewpoint and as a short hillside trekking & biking destination.
Namobuddha is very influential Buddhist pilgrimage site situated at an elevation of 1750m. The stupa built in lovely little hillock signifies the place where a legendary prince Mahasattva offered his body a starving tigress with its several underfed cubs. Balthali and Panauti are two more destination offering local cultural tradition and panoramic mountain views.
Dhulikhel Namobuddha Trekking is an easy and comfortable short trekking around Kathmandu valley, suitable for all ages and families at all time of the year.
Drive to Dhulikhel and trek to Namobuddha (1 hour drive, 5 hours trek)
In the morning, attempt 1 hour drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is situated at 30 km southwest of Kathmandu inhabited mostly by Newar community. This is the best view point of dozens of mid-eastern mountains. From Dhulikhel, our trekking starts heading toward Namobuddha on enjoying beautiful natural scenarios and cultural distinctions. The easy and ecological trail route takes us to Namobuddha for overnight stop.

Namobuddha to Balthali village (3-4 hours trek)
Early morning, behold the glorious sunrise view over the mid-eastern Himalayas including Langtang, Manaslu (8,163m), Ganesh I and Lamjung himal. Explore around the Buddhist stupa, shrines, villages and converse with local peoples (mostly Tamang inhabitants). After breakfast, our 2nd days trekking starts routing along the easy up-down and lush forested trail. The entire pathway is characterized by agricultural farms, landscapes and scattered houses. On reaching Balthali, visit around the village and night stay in a local run teahouse.

Balthali to Panauti and drive back to Kathmandu (2 hours trek, 1.5 hours drive)
Today we take leisurely walk to Newari village of Panauti. Along the way, you will get the chance to come across lovely temples, interesting old houses and fine wood carvings. Explore Indreshwar Mahadev temple and other shrines. At late afternoon, drive back to Kathmandu and enjoy your own time ahead and have our farewell dinner.
