8 Day Darjeelnig, Gangtok, Pelling, North Sikkim Tour

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 :

  Arrival and Transfer to Darjeeling. After Arrival at NJP Railway Station / IXB (Bagdogra Airport), meeting and greeting and then transfer to Darjeeling. It will take around 2.30 - 3hrs (approximately 72kms). Check into the hotel. Evening free at leisure. Nightstay at Darjeeling.
• Day 2 :

  Full Day sight seeing at Darjeeling. Very early morning (around 4am) start for an enthralling journey towards tiger hill to experience an unforgettable sunrise over the third highest peak and that is Mount Kangchenjunga (approx 28200 ft). After that visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia loop. After breakfast start for the sight seen in Darjeeling (9am - 1 pm approx). See the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed for tourist), Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing rock, tea garden, Peace pagoda, Gombu rock and Japanese temple. Evening free at leisure. Overnight at hotel

• Day 3 :

  Transfer from Darjeeling to Pelling. After breakfast proceed towards Pelling. It is approximately 75 kms and takes around 4 hrs. Evening free at leisure. Overnight there.
• Day 4 :

  Half day Sight seeing at pelling and transfer to Gangtok. After breakfast start for Pelling sight scene. Visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Khecheopalri Lake (which is a huge attraction here and the lake is known as wish lake as they say that if you pray here, your wish is bound to be fulfilled), Kangchuenjunga falls, rimbi falls. In the afternoon transfer to Gangtok (start at around 2 pm). Pelling to Gangtok is around 120 kms (around 4.30hrs). Check in to Hotel at Gangtok and night stay there.

• Day 5 :

  Tsomgo lake visit. After breakfast Visit Tsomgo Lake which is about 12300 FT and Baba Mandir (around 13200 ft). This lake is considered as one of the most sacred lakes in the state. This stunningly picturesque lake is around 52 kms from Gangtok. This excursion starts around 7.30 am and ends approximately by 3 pm.
  In case due to any unavoidable reason if the road to Tsomgo lake is closed, we arrange alternate sightseeing & i.e. – Banjhakri Falls, KTC Ranka, Lingdung Monastery Ranka, Ganesh Tok, Honuman Tok, Tashi View Point.
  OR
  Namchi, Temi Tea Garden (Outer View), Samdhupse, Chardham. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 6 :

  Travel from Gangtok to Lachen. After breakfast Proceed towards Lachen. The distance is approximately 125 kms (around 7 hrs). Start from Gangtok by 10 am (peak season at around 11am). Lachen (8500 feet) is another hidded paradise in the lap of the Himalayas. This small beautiful town lies in the northern part of Sikkim. An ideal place for those who seek to interact with nature. It is the gateway for Gurudongmar lake also. En route see Singhik View Point, Seven Sister falls, Naga Falls, Bhim Nala, Mangan & Chungthang. Guest can have their lunch in the midway. Evening free. Overnight at hotel in Lachen. Dinner would be served at hotel.
• Day 7 :

  Visit to Gurudongmar lake and drive to Lachung. Very early start the day by visiting Thangu village. Thangu is 30km from lachen and attracts the travelers for its outstanding natural beauty. Situated at a very high altitude of 13000 feet this place.
• Day 8 :

  Visit to Yumthang valley and return to Gangtok. After an early breakfast, journey towards Yumthang (nearly 12000 ft). It is nearly 25 km from lachung and also known as valley of flowers. The valley offers an outstanding view. While returning to hotel visit the famous hotspring which is known for its medicinal values. Return to hotel and have lunch. After lunch proceed to Gangtok for return journey. Nightstay at Gangtok.

• Day 9 :

  Return / onward journey, tour ends. After breakfast proceed to NJP / Bagdogra. After breakfast transfer to NJP/ Bagdogra (Approximately 121 kms / 4 hrs)
