Darcha Padum trek takes you along the fascinating journey from Darcha in Himanchal Pradesh to Padam in Zanskar. Prior to trekking, you get an unbeatable experience with an insider's perspective while sightseeing Manali. Temples impart a unique timelessness to the charming town of Manali giving plenty of time to soak up its atmosphere and get complete acclimatization for trekking. Thereafter, the trek connects you to the incredible trekking adventures; the trail transverses through Chalang Tokpa, Ramjak, Chumikanakpo, Lakong, Kurgiak, Purne and finally to Padum. En route, you will encounter great diversity of landscapes, lovely unspoilt pastoral mountain scenery, pristine villages and indigenous people. Further ahead, you have to journey through Ringdom Gompa and Kargil to arrive in Leh. With insightful sightseeing tour around Leh you conclude your trip. Leave Darcha, We start our journey with an easy walk into the valley. En route, we will visit the Chika and Rarik monasteries. Overnight stay at camp.

Palemo - Zanskar Sumdo (3860m) in 5h trek
We cross the river by a hanging pulley. Overnight at Zanskar Sumdo in camp.

Zanskar Sumdo - Chumi Napo (4640m) in 5h trek
Early morning trek from Zanskar Sumdo to Chumi Napo. The route leaves the valley and starts climbing up quite steeply towards the Shingo La pass.Overnight stay at camp.

Chumi Napo - Shingo La (5090m) - Lakham (4470m) in 6h trek
Prayer flags flapping in the wind mark the Shingo La pass, surrounded with fascinating views of the glaciers. An easy traverse of a glacier takes us to the valley and to the Lakham yak pastures.Overnight stay at camp.

Lakham - Kurgiak (4050m) in 6h trek
A gradual descent along the Kurgiak River, lined with mani walls. On the way, we will come across a few Doksas, where yaks are kept in summer time.Overnight stay at camp.

Kurgiak - Tetha (3950m), in 7h trek
The trail is now boarded by meadows of flowers and barley fields. Shortens are spread all the way and highlight the religious fervour of the Zanskaris. Overnight stay at camp.

Tetha - Purni (3700m), in 2h trek
We visit Phuktal monastery (3850m), perched on the side of an impressive cliff. (4h return journey from Phuktal Monastery to Purni). Overnight stay at camp.

Purni - Ichar (3650m) in 4h trek
Morning after camp breakfast we will trek to Ichar. Overnight stay at camp.
