Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport and be met for a transfer to Arusha. The evening is at leisure in Arusha before an early start the next day. Dinner is provided and accommodation is at Lake Duluti Lodge or Forest Hill Hotel.
Early departure from Arusha for a full day in Tarangire National Park while light and temperatures are favourable. The park is noted for its river that concentrates wildlife, making a single well timed day productive. As light fades the route continues on to Karatu for overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.
A full day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater floor where the contained landscape ensures consistent game viewing across seasons and includes one of Tanzanias last strongholds for black rhino. Lunch is taken on the crater floor before the afternoon drive back up to Karatu for overnight at Marera Valley Lodge or Ngorongoro Coffee Lodge.
Drive from Karatu into the Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge with time to learn about its role in human origins. Lunch is taken en route before continuing into the Serengeti where an arrival game drive offers opportunities to see lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, giraffe, and elephant as evening light develops. Overnight at Moyo Tented Camp or Suenos De Africa Luxury Camp.
A full day of game drives in the Serengeti with a packed lunch. The park offers the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa with opportunities to see golden maned lion, leopard, buffalo herds, elephant, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, and Grant's gazelle. Overnight at Moyo Tented Camp or Suenos De Africa Luxury Camp.
A second full day in the Serengeti covering different territory chosen according to where wildlife and light are best on the day rather than a fixed route, maximizing viewing opportunities. Overnight at Moyo Tented Camp or Suenos De Africa Luxury Camp.
A final Serengeti game drive on the way out leads to a Maasai cultural experience near Lake Eyasi. This stretch also passes through areas home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities, offering a genuine cultural encounter before driving to Karatu for the evening. An easier final morning followed by the approximately three hour drive back to Arusha timed for onward domestic flight connections. Breakfast is provided before departure.
