Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport and private transfer to your hotel in Arusha. The first evening is deliberately quiet to allow time to recover from travel and celebrate without rushing. Settle in, eat, and rest ready for the road beginning the following day. Overnight in Arusha.

After breakfast meet your Matangos guide and drive south from Arusha toward Tarangire National Park. The park is noted for baobabs, seasonal river country and elephants. You have a private game drive and remain in park country for the afternoon so there is no need to rush on to another town. Overnight near the park.

Wake close to Tarangire with the option of an early morning game drive if conditions make it worthwhile. Later depart Tarangire and climb into the greener, cooler Ngorongoro Highlands around Karatu, arriving with time to settle into your lodge rather than treating it as a brief stopover.

Early start to descend onto the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full day of wildlife viewing. The crater floor contains grassland, woodland, marsh and open water within a compact landscape so sightings can develop over time. The vehicle is private so your guide can spend extra time at significant sightings. Later climb back into the highlands and return to the same lodge where your bags remained.

Leave the highlands and travel toward the Serengeti watching the landscape open gradually from highland country to expansive plains. Game viewing begins en route to camp and there is no need to force a spectacular first afternoon. You stay in the Serengeti for three nights allowing extended wildlife time.

A full day in the Serengeti with no other park on today's schedule. The guide reads the morning using tracks weather recent movements and local knowledge to decide where to go. The day is flexible so sightings are given the time they deserve rather than following a checklist. Overnight in camp inside the Serengeti.

Another full Serengeti day remaining in the same camp and with the same guide allowing yesterday to influence today's plans. If an area was interesting you can return; if it was busy you can go elsewhere. Optional experiences such as a balloon safari or special bush experience can be added if they genuinely suit you but are not compulsory.

Final morning in the Serengeti with a last drive depending on your flight time. Transfer to the airstrip and depart the plains by scheduled bush flight to Arusha or Kilimanjaro. The safari concludes with memories of wildlife sightings a memorable morning and stories from your guide.
