On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport your guide meets you and drives you to Arusha where you spend the night before the parks begin. The drive toward Karatu is broken by a short walk through Mto wa Mbu town and a visit to a Maasai homestead offering a genuine cultural conversation about daily life in the Rift Valley. The route pushes north toward the Mara River with a packed lunch en route, entering the stretch of Serengeti where the migration faces the river obstacle. As the dry season tightens wildebeest and zebra gather at the water edge preparing to cross, though timing and location of any crossing cannot be guaranteed. Overnight is at a migration camp close to the river area.

A full day positioned around the Mara River with the objective of observing migration river crossings when they occur; September concentrates predator activity here so sightings may include lion leopard cheetah and hyena in addition to the crossings. Timing and location of crossings cannot be promised and the day is paced to wait and let events unfold naturally. Overnight at Moyo Tented Migration Camp or Enkutoto Tented Camp.

A flight from Kogatende connects back to Arusha where there may be time to browse craft stalls at a heritage centre before the final road transfer of roughly two hours to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international departure.
